This week’s idea on Mishna 2.16 is written by Rabbi Leo Dee, the husband of Lucy zt”l and father of Maia and Rina zt”l, in who’s memory this project is dedicated. Since their tragic murder, Rabbi Leo has been sharing the key message of bringing about Shalom in this world by speaking to hundreds of thousands of individuals across the globe. He and his three children Keren, Tali and Yehuda are based in Efrat.
As we enter into the festival of Chanukah and simultaneously finish the second chapter of Mishna Avot, we continue to pray that our learning is in the merit of Lucy, Maia and Rina as well as all those killed in the ongoing war. We also intend for our collective learning to serve as a zechut for Am Yisrael, especially all those in acute need of Hashem’s help. May the light of Chanukah and Torah such as this illuminate our lives and encourage us to grow together in the face of tremendous challenges.
