Drink it in 🍷!  Lasting Impressions:  Why the double language?  In this past week’s Torah portion, Parshat Vayeshev, the last verse explains how the butler did not remember Joseph and he forgot him.  All the commentators ask why say it twice?
There are 2 levels here:
1 – not mentioning something (silent bystander)
2 – deliberately denying something occurred.
Today we have both levels happening in reference to the Jewish people.  There are those that remain silent and then those that actively deny or say atrocities never happened.  We know in the end the truth is always revealed.
